One of the things I want to offer through this newsletter is establishing a writing community, as a way to help each other better our writing.
The best way to improve any skill is practicing it on a regular basis and receiving constructive feedback.
One of my goals is to create a safe space here for writers, at any skill level, to feel they can share their writing with others.
In order to do that I want to offer online writing classes, but want to know what writing topics would you want to learn more about?
Classes focused on. . .fiction writing, poetry, creative nonfiction, flash fiction, writing on Medium?
What writing interests do you want to learn more about?
Leave your suggestions in the comment box! Thank you so much!
✨ Ellie
(Continuing reading from your intro, and following up my last comment...) Thinking of it, Im really interested in hearing other peoples (yours) reflections on the intersection between personal journalling and essay writing. I often find myself journalling for my own sake, but then wanting to create my journal notes into an essay I can share. Would love to hear stories of how others tackle this.
Ps: love your layout on this letter.
Hi Ellie, thank you so much for putting the effort into helping writers with their writing. I know that must take a lot of time for you to do this. So I appreciate it. I'm interested mostly in writing fiction based on truth. Analogies, fantasy, sci-fi. I started on Medium and found this challenge from Coffee Times and entered it so I'm pretty interested in writing. And learning about writing. Creative writing combined with journalling content is what I do on Medium along with some random ramblings. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you.
